Shriya Pilgaonkar learns to play the dhol for Bhangra Paa Le

Set to be seen alongside Vicky Kaushal's brother Sunny in Bhangra Paa Le, Shriya Pilgaonkar recently learnt to play the dhol to do justice to her part of a spirited Punjabi music aficionado. "It's always exciting to get opportunities that have me challenge myself and learn a new skill. I wanted to be authentic with my portrayal of Nimmo, a Punjabi girl of the 1940s, and one who loves music. We have a song in the film which sees me play the dhol, and I thought it important to be absolutely comfortable [with the instrument]. I enjoyed the practice sessions," says the actor, whose recent slate of projects included web series like Mirzapur and Beecham House.

Bhangra Paa Le, also featuring Rukshar Dhillon, is set to hit screens on November 1. Apart from featuring Sunny Kaushal, it also marks the first directorial offering of Sneha Taurani.
