Happy Birthday Rekha: Kangana Ranaut, Aditi Rao Hydari wish the icon

Rekha, one of the most popular and loved actresses India has seen, celebrates her 65th birthday today, October 10. A number of Bollywood celebrities took to social media to share pictures with Rekha and wish her happy birthday.

Kangana Ranaut's team took to Instagram and Twitter to wish Rekha on her special day. This is what they tweeted, "When good vibes attract like-minded people. During one meeting, #Rekha ji told #Kangana that if she ever had a daughter, she would be like her! Here's wishing #KanganaRanaut's godmother Rekha ma'am a very happy birthday."

Aditi Rao Hydari also shared a stunning picture of herself with the stylish Rekha. Here's what she tweeted:

Kangana Ranaut's sister, Rangoli, too, wished the legend a happy birthday. She wrote, "Rekha ji is the kindest soul Kangana met in this film industry today is her birthday, she loves Kangana like her own and we pray for her long healthy and hearty life."

Writer-director Shagufta Rafique also wished Rekha on her birthday. She tweeted, "#Rekha ji is 65!! I was 5 when i saw sawan bhadon n bday girl was 16 But i still like the old Rekhaji of the 70s... #Happybirthday diva (sic)."

Rekha was born on October 10, 1954, in Chennai, and was named Bhanurekha Ganesan. Rekha's first appearance on the big screen was as a child artist in the 1966 Telugu film Rangula Ratnama. Then on, Rekha became one of the most sought-after actresses in Bollywood, and also a style icon for her signature Kanjeevaram saris.
